The following outlines the basic steps in of creating a focus group and launching it. References to other in-depth resources for programming and testing as well as monitoring and user participation are included as well.
Create New
All new activities are created from the Feedback tab.
On the Feedback tab, click on the green CREATE NEW button at the top.

On the new screen, select SURVEY/ DISCUSSION and then BLANK FOCUS GROUP.

Program Questions
All question types are available in Focus Groups. Detailed instructions on types and programming information can be found here.
Note: The Discussion question is really the only setting or feature that makes an activity a Focus Group instead of a Survey. This means if you have a survey and change an Open question to a Discussion question, the activity becomes a focus group with all of the focus group functionality. On the other hand, if you start out with a focus group and don't program any Discussion questions, you will have a survey and no focus group functionality (i.e. no member discussion).
Read more under Discussion question here.
When you are done programming the questions for your focus group, make sure you thoroughly review and test your program. You can also share test links with clients and internal stakeholders.
First, review your survey using the question overview tab. For more information, read here.
Next test the survey. For more information, read here.
